Lift Master Remote Control Programming Guide

Programming the 371LM remote control is a fairly simple process.

Here you will find all of the necessary steps that are required to get the job done.

Step 1. Press and release the Purple learn button for 30 second until the light above the learn button begins to glow.

Step 2. While the learn indicator is glowing press and hold the button on the remote that you want to program.

Step 3. The code has been learned when the motor unit light blinks, and the button may now be released. If there is no bulb installed you will hear two clicks instead.

Erasing All Codes From The Motor Unit Memory

Step 1. Press and hold the purple learn button until the learn indicator light goes out. This should take about six seconds. Now all codes have been erased. Follow the previous steps for programming any new remotes.

Programming The 900 Series Remote Controls- 970LM Thru 974LM

These instructions are for Sears, LiftMaster and Chamberlain Operators with a Green Smart Button.

Step 1. Press and hold the large button on the remote control or the button that you want to use to operate the opener.

Step 2. While continuing to hold down the remote control button. Press and release the Green smart button on the opener until it the indicator light begins to blink.the light will also blink once.

Step 3. Now you can release the large button on the remote or the button that you chose to program. You may add additional remotes by repeating the steps above.

Erasing All Codes From The Motor Unit Memory

Step 1. Press and hold the Green Smart Button until the indicator light turns off.(about 6 seconds)

you can release the Green Smart Button. All of the codes have now been erased.

To program additional remotes follow steps 1-2 from above.
